Driven by ideas, desire and enthusiasm
In the very heart of Šumadija, on the slopes of Kotlenik mountain, there is the village of Guberevac. It has been known since ancient times that the best quality fruit thrives in this area, all thanks to the bounty of this region.
Driven by an idea, a desire and enthusiasm, at the beginning of 2002 we returned to our ancestral home in the village of Guberevac. The old fruit orchards were restored and new ones were planted on an area of 12 ha, where today indigenous varieties of plums, quinces and Viliamovka pears thrive.
We built a modern distillery for the production of brandy "Aleksić prvi doo". The experience and skill that was passed down from older to younger, from generation to generation, allowed us to keep the traditional way of producing, distilling and storing brandy.
We produce brandies by double distillation in 4 copper cauldrons, each with a volume of 500 l, which are fired with wood.
After the fermentation of the fruit, the cauldrons are filled with a tap and distillation is carried out, that is, the first distillate is obtained, i.e. soft brandy. Such distillate is returned to prochromic tanks, aged for 60 days where it harmonizes. After that, the distillate is returned to the cauldrons where redistillation takes place, popularly known as prepek, where the fractions are separated, i.e. the first-fruit of Patoka, the heart of the brandy is taken, and such brandy is left to age.
Aging and care.
In the basement of the Aleksić prvi distillery, there are 70 barrels of 500 liters each, in which old plum brandy is aged. The barrels are made by the skilled hands of the best Serbian pinters, from selected types of oak from Miroč.
Plum shortbread, produced by combining three varieties of plums, red currants, požegace and Čačan beauties. After 20 years of aging, we obtained brandy of the Cognac type, with an idyllic tone and transparent clarity. For true lovers and connoisseurs of good brandy, we filled it in this bottle with serial numbers on a gold plate and packed it in an oak box, in limited quantities of 200 bottles.
